Matthieu Blazy, creative director of Chanel since December 2024, reimagines the house's signature codes through eclectic patterns, playful embellishments, and unusual cuts. At the 2026 WSJ Innovator Awards on Thursday, Dua Lipa presented Blazy with his honor while wearing a Chanel Fall/Winter 2026 haute couture suit that exemplified his approach.
The cream ensemble paired a blazer and wrap-around midi skirt, each embellished with floral lace and drop pearls that moved as Lipa walked. Inky, crinkled fringe trimmed the cuffs and collar. An asymmetrical, spiky cap added playful contrast to the ladylike silhouette. Pearl anklets, satin heels, and a matching flap bag completed the look.
A$AP Rocky also presented the award, dressed in Chanel.
