Heidi Klum dressed as a giant replica of her own hand for her Halloween party in Manhattan tonight, held at the Cathédrale restaurant. The costume marks the 25th anniversary of her annual Heidiween bash.

Klum conceived the idea about a year ago, before her 2025 Medusa costume. She wanted to transform something ordinary into something larger than life. "Some of the most interesting ideas come from the most ordinary things," she told Vogue. "I love the idea of taking something so common, and that we see every single day, something we probably never even think twice about, and turning it into something larger than life."

Special effects artist Mike Marino and his ProRenFX team executed the design. Marino used body scans of Klum to create an exact replica of her hand, including anatomical details like veins and muscles. The team also recreated her engagement ring, wedding band, and a tattoo on her finger.

Engineering the wearable costume posed challenges. The hand had to be large enough for visual impact while constructed so Klum could move and walk around in it. "There is so much planning, sculpting, molding and engineering that goes into these costumes," Klum said. "The hand had to be large enough to make the impact I wanted, but also constructed in a way that I could actually wear it and move around."

Klum said she enjoys the creative freedom Halloween provides. "I always love to do something unexpected," she told Vogue. "Every year, I want to surprise people and do something that they haven't seen me—or anyone—do before."
