Prime Video is nearing a series order for a live-action television adaptation of Marvel Comics' Clone Saga storyline, according to Deadline. The project comes from Prime Video and Sony Pictures Television.
Kelvin Yu, creator of "American Born Chinese," will write the series. The show centers on Spider-Man clones Ben Reilly and Kaine Parker as part of Sony's Universe of Marvel characters.
The Clone Saga originated in 1990s Marvel Comics and has become one of the publisher's most debated storylines. The adaptation represents another step in Sony's expanded Marvel universe strategy on streaming platforms.
This development follows the cancellation of "Spider-Noir," another Sony-Prime Video Marvel project that starred Nicolas Cage.
