Cynthia Erivo wore an Erdem blazer dress with a floor-length skirt decorated in pastel florals to the American Ballet Theatre's fall gala in New York City. Choreographer Debbie Allen presented Erivo with an award at the black-tie event, honoring her contributions to performing arts and her capacity to inspire through multidisciplinary storytelling. Erivo's relationship with the ballet company dates to 2016.
The gala featured ballet performances from classic works including Coppélia, Swan Lake, La Sylphide, Sylvia, The Dream, and Whipped Cream. The program also included Frederick Ashton's Dance of the Blessed Spirits, Michel Fokine's Le Spectre de la Rose, and Agnes de Mille's Three Virgins and a Devil.
The event at Lincoln Center drew attendees including actress Katie Holmes, ballerina Misty Copeland, and actor Ben Platt. Erivo will return to Lincoln Center on November 16 to headline a benefit concert.
